RJ Digital Alliance — Engineering the future

Privacy Policy

How RJ Digital Alliance collects, uses, shares, secures, retains, and enables control over information across its commerce, custom-PC, repair, support, and AI-assisted services.

Effective: 3 August 2026 · Last reviewed: 3 August 2026

Please read this document with our other linked policies and your final quotation or invoice. Applicable statutory rights prevail where they cannot lawfully be limited.

1. Scope and role

This Privacy Policy applies to the RJ Digital Alliance website, installable web app, customer and business accounts, product enquiries, quotations, orders, payments, deliveries, returns, warranty support, repair services, PC Builder, AI shopping assistant, marketing communications, and connected customer-support channels.

We process personal data as a data fiduciary for our own services and may also use service providers acting on our instructions. Third-party payment, courier, finance, warranty, social, map, video, or communication providers may independently process information under their own policies.

2. Information we may collect

  • Identity and contact information such as name, account identifier, delivery and billing details, and communication preferences.
  • Order and commercial information such as cart, wishlist, quotations, invoices, GST or business-verification details, payment status, delivery records, returns, warranty claims, and support history.
  • Device and service information supplied for repair, diagnosis, custom configuration, warranty, or compatibility review, including model, serial number, symptoms, configuration, logs, and photographs or videos.
  • Technical and security information such as IP address, browser or app version, session identifiers, sign-in events, device characteristics, error logs, fraud signals, and consent records.
  • Information submitted to product search, PC Builder, forms, chat, AI assistant, reviews, enquiries, or customer support.

3. Information we do not need

Do not submit passwords, OTPs, UPI PINs, CVVs, full payment-card data, private encryption keys, unrelated personal documents, or confidential information through chat, email, forms, or the AI assistant. Payment credentials are handled by the selected payment provider; we receive transaction status and limited payment metadata rather than the credentials needed to authorise payment.

When a service genuinely requires temporary device access, provide the minimum access necessary and remove or change credentials afterwards. We will never ask for banking credentials to process a refund.

4. Purposes and lawful processing

  • Create and secure accounts; maintain carts, wishlists, builds, quotes, orders, deliveries, warranty records, repairs, and support requests.
  • Verify identity, address, business eligibility, tax details, payment, delivery, stock allocation, fraud risk, and contractual compliance.
  • Process and reconcile payments, refunds, accounting, taxation, audit, warranty, logistics, and dispute records.
  • Provide product search, compatibility assistance, personalised features selected by the user, and AI-assisted responses.
  • Improve reliability, safety, catalogue quality, pricing accuracy, customer experience, and operational analytics.
  • Send transactional messages and, where consent or another lawful basis applies, promotional messages that can be opted out of.
  • Comply with law, lawful requests, consumer protection, security obligations, and the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims.

5. AI assistant and automated features

The AI assistant may transmit the message you submit, limited conversation context, product data, and relevant app instructions to configured AI providers so that a response can be generated. AI output may be inaccurate and is not final confirmation of price, stock, compatibility, warranty, delivery, or order acceptance.

Do not include sensitive or third-party information in AI prompts. Where chat history is stored locally on your device, clearing chat or browser data removes that local copy; server-side operational, safety, or support records may be retained only where separately generated and lawfully required.

6. Cookies and on-device storage

Essential browser storage, authentication tokens, service-worker caches, consent choices, guest cart, wishlist, chat state, security preferences, and installation settings may be used to operate the app. Optional personalisation is used only as described in the Cookies and On-Device Storage Notice.

Blocking essential storage may prevent sign-in, checkout, cart persistence, fraud controls, offline loading, or other requested functionality.

7. Sharing and processors

We share only information reasonably necessary with hosting, authentication, database, cloud-storage, payment, banking, financing, delivery, communication, analytics, fraud-prevention, AI, repair, installation, manufacturer-warranty, professional-adviser, and compliance providers. We may also disclose information when required by law, court order, lawful authority, fraud investigation, or to protect customers, systems, property, or legal rights.

We do not sell personal data. We do not disclose one customer’s information to another customer except where the customer directs us or a lawful business transaction requires authorised representatives to receive it.

8. International processing

Some service providers may process information outside India. Where applicable, we use providers and safeguards appropriate to the service and comply with restrictions or requirements under Indian data-protection law. Provider availability, locations, and sub-processors may change over time.

9. Retention

We retain information only for the period reasonably required for the stated purpose, customer support, warranty, fraud prevention, accounting, taxation, audit, legal claims, statutory retention, or enforcement of agreements. Different records have different retention periods.

Deletion or account closure does not require us to erase records that must be retained by law, are necessary to complete an existing transaction or dispute, or have been irreversibly anonymised. Local device data remains under the user’s control and may be deleted through app or browser settings.

10. Security and customer responsibilities

We use proportionate technical and organisational safeguards, access controls, logging, encryption where appropriate, backups, and vendor controls. No internet, storage, payment, or communication system is completely risk-free.

Customers must protect devices, account passwords, sessions, OTPs, and registered communication channels; review account activity; avoid shared-device exposure; and report suspected misuse promptly. We may suspend access or require additional verification to protect an account or transaction.

11. Rights and choices

Subject to applicable law and identity verification, an individual may request access to a summary of processed personal data, correction, completion, updating, erasure, withdrawal of consent, grievance redressal, or nomination where available. Withdrawal applies prospectively and may make a requested feature or service unavailable.

Marketing preferences may be changed through the available unsubscribe or account controls. Transactional, security, warranty, billing, and legally required communications may continue while relevant.

12. Children

Commerce accounts and contracts are intended for persons legally competent to contract. A parent or lawful guardian must supervise use by a minor and provide any consent required by law. We do not knowingly conduct behavioural monitoring or targeted advertising directed at children.

13. Grievances, incidents, and updates

Questions, notices, claims, and grievances may be submitted through the contact channels published in the website footer. Include the relevant order, quotation, invoice, service-ticket, or payment reference. Never send passwords, OTPs, UPI PINs, CVVs, full card details, or unrelated confidential information.

We may revise this Policy for changes in law, providers, security, products, or business operations. The effective date will be updated, and material changes may be highlighted through the website, app, account, or another appropriate channel.
